LM Technologies Ltd offers a two types of Bluetooth adapters that can be used for your serial cable replacement , one with an on-board antenna and one with an external antenna. Both adapters are a Bluetooth Class 1 and will enable connections in excess of 100m in a open environment. LM design and manufacture the adapters which are based on LM designed modules LM also wrote and created the products firmware and software configuration program. LM therefore controls the entire product which enables LM Technologies to adapt our product to specific solutions our customers may require.
The LM048 series of adapters are recognised as the world’s smallest Bluetooth Serial Adapter. Our unique LM Patented Firmware supports bi-directional data transfer while the slave adapter is receiving data from another data packet. Enabling two bi-directional data transfers to be sent between the LM048 / LM058 series of Bluetooth Serial Adapters.
The LM048 has the capacity to function as an RS232 cable replacement for devices that use RTS/CTS handshaking while utilizing our unique patented software to transmit DTR/DSR handshaking signals via Bluetooth, allowing error conditions like “Paper Out”, “Power Failure” etc. to be reported over Bluetooth – the only adapter in the world capable of performing this functionality.
